As mentioned before, the entire content library of Netflix will be available for free to everyone in the country for 48 hours during the StreamFest. Notably, this is the first such test being conducted by the OTT platform and India will be the first test market. In fact, this is the first time that an OTT platform is making it services free for an entire country for a specific duration.

However, the StreamFest will have certain restrictions in place. Firstly, since it’s free for all, every individual will only get one stream in standard definition (SD) quality. This is the same as Netflix’s Rs 499 Basic plan and will allow users to enjoy StreamFest on Android, iOS, smart TV, gaming console, Chromecast, and the web.

During the event, there’s no need to sign up or provide credit or debit card details. Instead, users will simply need to provide their name, email or phone number and password. In case the user had provided the same credentials for a Netflix trial in the past, they will be able to pick up from where they left off.

If case you are on the fence about getting a Netflix subscription and would like to try the service before putting your money on it, you can visit the Netflix StreamFest official link and try it for free first.
