Micromax’s sub-brand YU Televentures has been quite for so long. Apart from launching the Yu Yureka Black recently, the company hasn’t done anything for a while now. Well, now it seems like the company has some plans up its sleeves. According to a recent listing spotted on Geekbench, Micromax under the umbrella of YU Televentures is planning to launch some new smartphones.
We, at Pricebaba, came across such listing revealing two new smartphones with model name YU5011 and YU5012. Looking at the specs, the devices seem to be different variants of the same model. Both the smartphones are powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor ticking at 1.25GHz. Accompanying the chipset, the YU5011 features 2GB of RAM, whereas the YU5012 gets 3GB of RAM. The devices run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
As per our sources, the devices are also being tested in India. So, we’re speculating them to be launched in India in coming months. Looking at the specs, it will be yet another budget smartphone from the company.
Earlier, the company launched the Yureka Black, the first YU smartphone of this year. It carries a price tag of Rs 8,999. It sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. Under the hood, it draws its power from an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs in a 3000mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE.
