The festival week is here and OTT platforms in India have planned a few new releases for the fans to binge.

After releasing several popular titles in the previous week, the Indian OTT platforms do not have many releases, however, fans can watch international titles like The Good Nurse, Barbarian, Matriarch, Big Mouth S6 and more on Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar and more.

For those who love Indian shows, platforms like Aha and Amazon Prime Video have planned Swatimuthyam, Flames Season 3 and Naane Varuven for the holidays. Besides these new original shows like Jhansi and Appan will also be released with the aim to keep the audiences hooked to the screens.

Swathimuthyam | Aha Video

Aha Telugu’s upcoming release, Swathimuthyam, is about an innocent young man who believes in celebrating love and life. Pure at heart, he thinks of being married and as the thoughts evolve, things change as per the new decisions. But what happens to his life and ideologies and how he manages these new changes becomes the crux of the film. Makers of the film have presented Swati Muthyam as a rom-com and the previous decision was to release the film on October 28, 2022. However, due to the critical acclaim and fan requests, the digital release was preponed and fans can now watch Swathimuthyam on October 24, 2022.

The Good Nurse | Netflix

Amy is a compassionate nurse who is battling a life-threatening heart condition. As a single mother with a strong profession and an illness, she faces a lot both physically and emotionally, until, a male nurse, Charlie Cullen, starts working at her unit. He is thoughtful and empathetic and the two spend time on long night shifts, eventually developing a strong and devoted friendship. For the first time, she feels good about her life and her daughter’s future, until a few patients die mysteriously making Charlie the prime suspect. What follows in the Good Nurse are events where Amy uncovers the truth while keeping herself and her daughter safe.

Tess Marshall has to attend a job interview in Detroit and book a remote home for the same. However, upon reaching, she finds out that a man named Keith has already rented the property through another app. With no other options in mind, and amidst bad weather, she decides to spend the night in the house. Over a few hours, she gets used to him, but notices that her bedroom door has been opened and there’s someone moving around the house. The next day, post her interview, she is warned about the unsafe stay and as she finds out a homeless man chases her asking her to leave the house. But why? This forms the crux of the film.

Naane Varuven (Nene Vasthunna) | Amazon Prime Video

Identical twins, Prabhu and Kathir, have been different always. Prabhu is innocent and Kathir is a troublemaker who is always disciplined by his father for his acts. To teach him a lesson after an incident, his father ties him at the backyard to a tree, from where gets kidnapped by an unnamed psychotic person, believed to be a serial killer who sets such targets in the jungle. Kathir relieves himself from the man, kills him and returns home. His erratic behaviour continues, and he locks Prabhu in a wooden box and kills his father. Upon knowing, his mother takes him to a local saint who tells him that both the boys cannot live together and must be separated. She chooses Prabhu over Kathir, leaves him in a temple and flees, despite several requests. What happens to Kathir then? Will he return? Will he take revenge? What would he do to the mother and Prabhu? The rest of the film answers all these questions.

The makers have released the film in two languages as Naane Varuven in Tamil and Nene Vasthunna in Telugu
