Nikon COOLPIX B600 with 60x optical zoom announced

The Japanese pioneer in optics and imaging products, Nikon, has launched a new digital compact camera in India. The Nikon COOLPIX B600 carries a NIKKOR 16MP lens with a maximum aperture of f/3.3 along with 60x optical zoom and 120x Dynamic Fine Zoom. Additionally, it features a snap-back zoom button and side zoom control for easy access.

The Nikon COOLPIX B600 features 19 options in the Scene Mode and its camera settings are optimised to capture superior quality images. The scene modes could either be manually selected or be automatically selected by the camera while it frames the subject. A pre-focus function and target finding AF help in low-light photography.  The camera features ISO 6400 sensitivity and optical Vibration Reduction capabilities which could come handy for poorly-lit situations. 

The Nikon COOL PIX B600 comes laced with a 4-Axis Hybrid VR system for movies. Furthermore, in Macro Mode, the camera is able to focus on subjects as close as approximately one centimetre from the centre of the front surface of the lens. For those who love aesthetic pictures, the compact device has a Smart Portrait Mode and Glamour Retouch functions. The point and shoot camera can record video in up to full HD resolution. 

For the convenience of consumers, the Nikon COOLPIX B600 comes with support for SnapBridge 2.5 and Wi-Fi to facilitate the transfer of images and management of content. This is not all, as you can also control the compact camera with your smart device. The internal memory on the camera is 83MB, and it supports SD and SDHC cards. The battery life of the camera allows it to click 280 shots approximately and the charging time is two hours. The Nikon COOLPIX B600 has a mechanical and CMOS electronic shutter.
