Alleged Nokia 1.3 spotted on Bluetooth SIG, may launch soon

HMD Global-owned Nokia launched the Nokia 2.3 in India earlier this month. Now the brand is planning to launch a new affordable smartphone in the country. A device with model number TA-1213 was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification’s website. The smartphone is likely to be the Nokia 1.3 and arrive as the successor to the Nokia 1 Plus. The Bluetooth listing was first spotted by NokiaPowerUser. It reveals that the Nokia 1.3 will come equipped with a Snapdragon 200 series processor and Bluetooth 4.2 support. Like most Nokia smartphones, this will also be a part of the Android One program. It’s worth noting that Nokia hasn’t confirmed anything about it yet. The brand may launch the smartphone in early January 2020. 

Nokia 2.3 specifications and features 

Talking about the Nokia 2.3, the phone comes with a large 6.2-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch on the top. The device features a dedicated Google Assistant button. It can be availed in three colour options – Cyaan Green, Sand, and Charcoal. The Nokia 2.3 lacks a fingerprint scanner. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup comprising of 13MP+2MP sensors. The phone is fitted with a 5MP shooter on the front for selfies. 

The Nokia 2.3 is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box. Since this is a Android One device, users should expect guaranteed updates for the next two years. The Nokia 2.3 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro-USB.

The Nokia 2.3 carries a price tag of Rs 8,199. It is available for purchase on Nokia’s official website and via major offline stores in the country.
