Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 3.2 receive a price cut, prices now start at Rs 6,599

The prices of the budget-friendly Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 3.2 smartphones have been slashed in India. The Nokia 2.2 that had gone official in June with a price tag of Rs 7,699 is now selling at a reduced cost of Rs 6,599. On the other hand, the Nokia 3.2 that was launched in May for Rs 8,990 is now selling for Rs 7,499.

The Nokia 2.2 comes in two models of 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. Initially, these phones were priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively. With the new price cut, the two variants are now available for Rs 6,599 and Rs 7,599 respectively. The handset can be bought with the new pricing through Nokia’s online store and Flipkart. The handset can be availed in Black and Steel color editions. Buyers of Nokia 2.2 can take advantage of offers like Rs 2,200 cashback, 100GB extra data from Jio, no-cost EMIs and exchange discounts.

The Nokia 2.2 has a 5.71-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a notch that houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel of the phone features a single camera of 13-megapixels with LED flash. The modest Helio A22 chipset powers the smartphone along with a 3,000mAh battery that supports 5W charging. It’s an Android One phone running on Android 9 Pie. It features a dedicated button for accessing the Google Assistant. The handset lacks a fingerpint sensor but offers users a face unlock feature. A microSD card is slot is there on the Nokia 2.2. expanding storage further.

The Nokia 3.2 had received a price cut in June. The prices of the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variants were slashed by Rs 500. These variants were priced at Rs 8,990 and Rs 10,790 respectively at launch. Their prices were further slashed to Rs 7,999 and Rs 8,999 in September.

The latest price cut reduces the cost of the base model of the Nokia 3.2 to Rs 7,499. The higher-end variant is now priced at Rs 8,499. The handset can be purchased in Black and Steel colours. The smartphone is available for buying through Nokia India’s online store. Vodafone and Idea users can avail Rs 2,500 cashback on purchase of the Nokia 3.2. Customers can also buy it through convenient no-cost EMI plans.

The Nokia 3.2 has a 6.26-inch IPS LCD HD+ panel that features a selfie notch for the 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also features a single rear-facing camera of 13-megapixels. The Snapdragon 429 SoC is present under the hood of the device. Its 4,000mAh battery supports 10W charging. It is also an Android One phone with Android 9 Pie OS onboard.  Other features of the smartphone include a dedicated Google Assistant key, a fingerprint reader and a microSD card slot.
