Earlier this month, HMD Global introduced the latest Nokia phone called the Nokia 2.3 in Egypt. Now, the company has launched the smartphone in India. The handset has arrived as the successor to the Nokia 2.2, which was introduced in India in June. The Nokia 2.3 is one of the most pocket-friendly smartphones from HMD Global to date. In India, the device has been released with a one-year replacement guarantee. This means that if you will buy the Nokia 2.3 on or before March 31st 2020, then you will get a free replacement unit of the phone if you find a hardware failure or a manufacturing fault with it during the one-year warranty period.

Talking about the specs, the Nokia 2.3 offers a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch above it. The phone has a poly-carbonate back panel and a dedicated button to trigger the Google Assistant. Under the hood, the device has an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is aided by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Software-wise, the smartphone boots Android 9 Pie out of the box, and it will be getting the Android 10 update in the near future since it is an Android One offering. In addition, the company releasing two years of guaranteed Android OS updates as well as three years of monthly Android security upgrades.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 2.3 offers a 13MP main camera on the back, which is accompanied by a 2MP secondary snapper. On the front, the handset has a 5MP selfie camera. The Nokia 2.3 has been priced in India competitively at Rs 8,199. The phone comes in three colour models – Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal. The handset will be available on the brand’s website and via major brick-and-mortar stores like Croma, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, and MyG starting from December 27th. As part of the launch offer, Jio users buying the Nokia 2.3 will get data benefits worth Rs 7,200. Also, there’s also a voucher worth Rs 3,000 from Cleartrip and Rs 2,000 from Zoomcar for Jio subscribers.
