In a world, where all it take is a little push to crack a phone open, Nokia 3310 is the hero we all deserve, it’s not just a phone, it’s a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight. Well, the wait is finally over. The iconic phone Nokia 3310 has been finally launched in India. The phone carries a price tag denoting the same number as its model number – Rs 3,310. The phone is for grab across major retail stores around the nation starting this Thursday i.e., 18th May.
To recall, HMD Global, the brand responsible for manufacturing and selling Nokia branded phones brought the Nokia 3310 back from ashes of time with a ‘modern twist’ at MWC 2017. Nokia 3310 was first launched in September 2000. The phone went on to be the highest selling phone with 126 million units sold until the year 2015.
Talking about specs, the company claims the phone has a month-long battery standby time and 22 hours of talk-time. The Nokia 3310 also brings back the nostalgic Snake game with it. It will come in four colors with two different finishes – Warm Red and Yellow with a gloss finish and Dark Blue and Grey with a matte finish. However, Nokia has ditched the contemporary pin charger and features at micro-USB port on the revamped phone.
The phone also sports a 2-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash. Talking about the display, it sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The phone supports 2G connectivity only and runs on Nokia Series 30+ operating system which means it won’t work on Jio network in India. It also gets 16MB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB with a MicroSD card. It has a battery capacity of 1200mAh.
