A few days ago, Nokia unveiled three smartphones and a feature phone at its online-only launch event. Now two devices from the lineup namely the Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5310 have appeared on the brand’s official website in India. The listing hints at the imminent arrival of the latest offerings. The Nokia 8.3 5G and Nokia 1.3 may or may not launch in the country. Nokia hasn’t announced the pricing and availability of its latest Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5310 yet. We expect the devices to go official in the coming weeks.
Nokia 5.3 specifications and features
The Nokia 5.3 is the successor to the Nokia 5.1 launched back in 2018. The device features a 6.55-inch display bearing HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch on top. In terms of design, there is a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Much like the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2, this one too sports a circular camera module on the back. The Nokia 5.3 is offered in Charcoal, Cyan and Sand colour options.
In the photography department, the Nokia 5.3 features quad-camera module. It comprises of a 13MP f/1.8 main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth and 2MP macro shooter. The device is fitted with an 8MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood, the Nokia 5.3 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor. It is available in three RAM and storage configurations up to 6GB and 64GB respectively. The internal storage is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. The Nokia 5.3 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging via a Type-C port. Software-wise, the Nokia 5.3 runs on the latest Android 10 out of the box. Since the device is a part of the Android One program, users can expect two years of software updates.
Nokia 5310 specifications and features
The Nokia 5310 is a feature phone and a revamped version of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic. The device retains the same design and music buttons from the original feature phone.
The feature phone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA colour display with a curved glass screen and rounded corners. The Nokia 5310 is powered by a modest MediaTek MT6260A chipset paired with 8MB RAM. It offers 16GB of onboard storage with support for a dedicated microSD card slot up to 32GB. The device features a VGA camera with flash. It runs on the Nokia Series 30+ OS. The Nokia 5310 is backed by a removable 1,200mAh battery unit with standby time up to 30 days and talk time up to 20.7 hours. Connectivity options on the device include a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio receiver, Bluetooth 3.9 and micro USB port. The Nokia 5310 is available in White and Black colour options with both having Red colour volume buttons.
Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5310 pricing and availability
The Nokia 5.3 will be available from April 2020 starting at €189 (~Rs 15,100) for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. The price of other variants are not known at the moment. The Nokia 5310 is priced at €39 (~Rs 3,120) and will go on sale later this month. India pricing is expected to be similar.
