Nokia 5310 feature phone with dedicated music buttons launched in India: price, specifications

Back in March this year, HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia had announced a new feature phone called Nokia 5310. It was listed on Nokia’s official website in India the same month. Now the brand has brought the feature phone to the country. The Nokia 5310 is a renewed version of the original 5310 XpressMusic, but does not carry the XpressMusic branding. 

Juho Saravikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global in a statement said, “Feature phones play an important role in the mobile market, with four hundred million consumers around the world still buying a 2G phone for their mobility needs. They seek an option that offers them reliability and durability combined with ease of use. The Nokia 5310 offers all of these with an extra dose of design.”

The Nokia 5310 features dedicated music buttons and dual front speakers

The Nokia 5310 features a 2.4-inch QVGA colour display with rounded edges and curved glass edges. The right side of the phone has dedicated buttons for controlling music. The feature phone has a numeric keypad with a 5-way navigation key. The Nokia 5310 is offered in two-tone colour options – White/Red and Black/Red. 

The Nokia 5310 features a VGA rear camera with LED flash. It is equipped with dual speakers and comes with an MP3 player and FM Radio that can be played wired or wirelessly. 

The Nokia 5310 is powered by a MediaTek MT6206A processor. It is paired with 8MB RAM and 16MB storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The feature phone runs the Nokia Series 30+ operating system. The device is backed by a removable 1,200mAh battery unit that is claimed to deliver 30 days of standby power and talk time of up to 20.7 hours. The Nokia 5310 is a dual-SIM feature phone and connectivity options include microUSB, Bluetooth 3.9 and a headphone jack. 

Nokia 5310 price in India

The price of Nokia 5310 is set at Rs 3,399. It is up for pre-booking on the Nokia website and Amazon, with sales commencing from June 23rd. The feature phone will be available online for the first four weeks, and then across leading retail outlets in the country.
