Nokia 6.2 with Snapdragon 636 and triple cameras launching in India on October 11th

The Nokia 6.2 was made official globally along with the Nokia 7.2 at the IFA trade show in Germany in September. HMD Global has confirmed that it will be launching the former in India on October 11th. The Nokia 6.2 is a lower-end version of the Nokia 7.2 smartphone that was launched in India last month. It will be available online through Amazon India.

Nokia 6.2 Specifications and Features


The Nokia 6.2 is an Android One phone from the company that runs a stock edition of Android 9 Pie. The handset features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD PureDisplay with HDR10 support. The display of the Nokia 6.2 that has a waterdrop notch that offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3.

The Snapdragon 636 mobile platform with 4GB of RAM fuels the Nokia 6.2. The European version of the phone comes with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB native storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot on the device expanding storage further.

The round-shaped camera module on the rear of the Nokia 6.2 features a 16-megapixel main lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 118-degree ultrawide sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash unit. The front notch houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. There is a dedicated button for accessing Google Assistant on the device. The handset features a 3,500mAh battery. There is no support for fast charging however. For security, it comes equipped with a fingerprint reader on the back panel.

Nokia 6.2 Price in India

As of now, there is no information on the pricing of the smartphone. However, it will cost less than the Nokia 7.2, that is priced at Rs 18,599 for 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant and Rs 19,599 for 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model.
