Nokia has officially launched three new smartphones in India, the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. The launch event was held in New Delhi by HMD Global, Nokia’s holding company. All three phones were launched globally earlier this year during the MWC event. They also belong to the Android One program so you can expect guaranteed Android upgrades and quick software updates. Let’s see the full specifications and features of all these phones.
Nokia 6 (2018)
The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display bearing a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is also protected with a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has 32GB of internal storage which you can expand via a microSD card up to 128GB.
The Nokia 6 has got a 16-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and since it is launched under Android One, the phone offers a stock OS experience and promises quick software updates. The phone draws its power from a 3000mAh battery unit.
In India, the Nokia 6 (2018) is priced at Rs. 16,999 and will be available from April 6th. Just ahead of the launch, Nokia had announced a price cut for the 2017 version.

Nokia 7 Plus
The Nokia 7 Plus is the successor to last year’s mid-range device, Nokia 7. It comes with better specifications and an improved design. This one has a large 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, making it a bezel-less phone. There’s dual-rear cameras fitted in the device, with combination of 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel sensors. On the front, you get a 16-megapixel fixed focus camera for selfies.
The phone is packed with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. You get 64GB of internal storage in the phone but it is also expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. Owing to its large size, the 7 Plus gets a 3800mAh battery unit.
The Nokia 7 Plus is priced at Rs. 25,999 and will be available from April 30th. However, you can pre-book the phone starting April 20th.

Nokia 8 Sirocco
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is a revamped edition of the Nokia 8 flagship launched last year. It bears a 5.5-inch quad HD display with a superb resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The panel on top is a pOLED display which was also previously seen in Google Pixel 2 XL. Given the display size and its resolution, the pixel density of the device is extremely high.
On the back, the phone gets a dual-rear camera setup that combines a 12-megapixel sensor with another 13-megapixel one. On the front, there’s a 5-megapixel sensor for clicking selfies and making video calls.
In terms of performance, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset that runs along with 6GB of LDDR4X RAM. You can expect good multi-tasking and gaming experience out of this phone. Even this one runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is supported by the Android One program for quick software updates. The Nokia 8 Sirocco gets 128GB of internal storage but there’s no expandable storage in the phone. The phone is fitted with a 3260mAh battery unit.
Nokia 8 Sirocco being a flagship device is priced Rs. 49,999. Even it will be available from April 30th and you can pre-book the phone starting April 20th.
All these devices are launched in different price ranges and Nokia aims to do exactly that, broaden its phone portfolio to cater to everyone’s needs.
