Earlier this year in September, HMD Global confirmed the list of Nokia phones getting the Android 10 update, apart from revealing the proposed roadmap for the rollout of the same. Keeping up with its promise, the company already updated the Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 9 PureView to Android 10 recently. Now, the brand has started rolling out the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.1 smartphone as well. The update is being rolled out global markets including India. The Nokia 7.1 Android 10 update is rolling out in a phased manner, so it may take some time to reach all the units of the handset.
Apart from bringing the latest iteration of Android, the latest update for the Nokia 7.1 brings a handful of useful features. The new firmware comes with the much-anticipated system-wide Dark Mode for the smartphone. The update brings gesture navigations, smart reply, enhanced privacy controls, and a focus mode to block out distracting apps when you need to concentrate on what’s important.
The new firmware comes with the Family Link feature in the Digital Wellbeing setting and Android security patch for November. Lastly, you can expect the update to provide smoother performance and some bug fixes. You can check if the update is available for your Nokia 7.1 by going to the Settings > About Phone > System updates > and then tap on Check for update option.
