HMD Global announced the Nokia 7.2 at IFA 2019, Berlin on September 5th. The device comes with triple rear cameras which feature ZEISS Optics and a 48MP primary camera. The brand has now gone ahead and launched the phone silently in India, which took everyone by surprise.
Nokia 7.2 price in India, availability and introductory offers
The Nokia 7.2 has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 18,599 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant. The 6GB+ 64GB variant has been priced at Rs 19,599. The Nokia 7.2 will be available for buying from September 23rd on Nokia’s website, Flipkart and leading retail outlets.
As part of the introductory offer, HDFC card users who buy the phone from retail stores via Pinelabs terminals will get a 10 percent cashback. Consumers can also avail the same when they use HDFC consumer finance in stores. This offer is valid until October 31st. There is also a Special Triple Zero Offer using which consumers can enjoy zero down payment, zero processing fee and zero interest cost for consumers who pay through Bajaj Finance, IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank CD loans and HDBFS until October 31st.
Jio users will get benefits worth Rs. 7,200 on Rs 198 and 299 plans which include Rs 2,200 cashback from Jio, Rs 3,000 vouchers from Cleartrip and Rs 2,000 off on Zoomcar. This offer will be valid for both existing and new subscribers. Online buyers will also receive Rs 2,000 gift card on Nokia.com until October 31st. Those who buy the phone from Flipkart will receive extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange till 31st October. Those who pay for the phone using HDFC cards on Flipkart will receive a 5 percent cashback until September 28th. ICICI bank credit cards and Axis Bank debit/credit cards will receive a ten percent instant discount during Big Billion Days ( September 29th – October 4th).

The Nokia 7.2 comes with a waterdrop notch on the top and a circular triple rear camera setup. The phone is made of a polymer that is twice as strong as polycarbonate. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back for security. It features a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ PureDisplay panel with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top and HDR 10 support for Amazon Prime Video. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with 4GB + 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
In the optics department, the phone features a 48MP Quad Pixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 5MP depth shooter and an 8MP super wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. The phone also boasts of three bokeh modes – ZEISS Modern, ZEISS Swirl and ZEISS Smooth. An AI-powered Night mode is also included in the package along with a super-sensitive sensor for good low-light performance. For selfie enthusiasts, the phone offers a 20MP sensor with Quad Pixel tech and ZEISS Optics. The Nokia 7.2 also features a 3,500mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie. Since it’s an Android One offering, the phone is Android 10 ready and will get timely updates for the next two years, at least. It has been introduced in two shades – Charcoal and Cyan Green.
