Nokia has been quite prolific in launching Android smartphones since the last year. Right after it launched the Nokia 6 (2018) in the first week of the year, it is all set to unveil the Nokia 7 Plus. The upcoming smartphone was spotted on performance benchmark site Geekbench which reveals some of its key specifications. This will be an upgraded version of the Nokia 7 launched last year in October.
The Nokia 7 Plus will come with enhanced specifications and features when compared to its earlier version. It will get a better processor, the Snapdragon 660 coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 7 had Snapdragon 630 SoC with the same amount of RAM. Although not a major upgrade, this boost will make the phone faster and give it more capabilities. Even the GPU will be better which will help in rendering games and graphics with minimal lags.
However, it might still retain the metal-glass body and design from the previous phone. But most of the hardware features such as the display size, battery capacity and camera are still under the wraps. As we get closer to the launch, new information shall surface about the phone.
The Nokia 7 Plus will probably be launched alongside the Nokia 9, which will become the brand’s flagship device for 2018. Rumours also suggest that a new Nokia device might launch with a 5 camera setup on the back. These launches are likely to take place in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event scheduled to be held this year from February 26th to March 1st. As we know, MWC will see various smartphone launches by multiple brands. Among the popular ones will be the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, the launch invite for which has been already released by Samsung.
We will be looking forward for the launch of Nokia 7 Plus and the host of other smartphones that await their launch in MWC this year.
