The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 will be held in Barcelona in February. Many well-known smartphone OEMs including Nokia will be present at the tech exhibition to announce and showcase their new products. Nokiamob.net has now shared a list of devices that are expected to launch at the tech show.
Nokia 8.2 5G
The leak reveals that the Nokia 8.2 4G edition has been cancelled to make way for the Nokia 8.2 5G version. It will be fueled by the Snapdragon 765 mobile platform and seems to be same device 5G Snapdragon 765 device that the company had teased in December. The appearance of its camera module could be similar to the Nokia 7.2 from last year. However, it could be equipped with a pop-up selfie camera.
The base model of the Nokia 8.2 5G will come with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. There will be a limited edition that may come with 8GB RAM + 128GB or 256GB storage. There is no confirmation on whether it has a pOLED or LCD flat display. It will have a 3,500mAh battery and a pop-up selfie camera of 32-megapixels. A previous leak had claimed that the Nokia 8.2 5G will be sporting a 64-megapixel quad camera setup on its back. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The base model of the phone may cost around €459 (~Rs 36,100). It is tipped to come in a metallic copper colour.
The Nokia 5.2 may come in variants like 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The latter is expected to release in select markets while the former will be available in all regions. Its appearance could be similar to the Nokia 6.2 and it could be sporting a 6.2-inch LCD panel. The phone could be powered by Snapdragon 632 mobile platform. Its rear could be fitted with a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera system and it may sport a selfie camera of 8-megapixels. It may come in the same colour options like the Nokia 6.2. Its base model could be priced at €169 (~Rs 13,300).
The Nokia 1.3 entry-level smartphone will offer a design similar to the Nokia 2.3. It could be available in multiple colour choices like the Nokia 1 Plus. It is expected to sport a U-shaped or waterdrop notch display of around 6-inches. The rear shell of the device could be made out of a 3D nano-texture polycarbonate material and it may sport a plastic frame. The device could be housing an unknown MediaTek SoC, a 4,000mAh removable battery and 1GB of RAM. The phone may offer 8GB of native storage. The handset may come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front shooter of 5-megapixels with a screen flash feature like the Nokia C1. The device may be priced around €79 (~Rs 6,200).
Nokia original series
The Finnish firm is reportedly gearing up to introduce a Nokia Original series phone at MWC 2020. It was previously believed to debut around the Chinese New Year. However, the company had to alter its plans due to the current outbreak of the Coronavirus. There is not much information available on the name and specs of the new series. However, its arrival has been delayed until MWC 2020.
