Nokia launched its flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9 PureView at MWC in Barcelona. The smartphone featured a penta-camera setup on the rear with 12MP cameras and “Light camera technology.” Despite featuring a loaded camera setup and technology, the Nokia 9 PureView failed to impress. It seems that the failure of the first-generation device didn’t deter HMD Global, as the Nokia licensee seems to be working on the next generation Nokia 9.3. According to a new report by the NokiaPowerUser, the upcoming camera-centric smartphone will also feature a penta-camera setup on the back but with much-improved sensors compared to its predecessor.
Nokia 9.3 penta camera setup details
According to the report, the Nokia 9.3 will come with one of the most powerful camera solutions on a flagship. The smartphone will flaunt a 64MP main camera sensor backed by a powerful 108MP wide-angle lens. The report mentions that the other three cameras will be depth, macro and telephoto but didn’t reveal their resolution details. Notably, the Nokia 9 Pureview flaunted two 12-megapixel RGB sensors and three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors. Moreover, the publication also reveals that the upcoming smartphone will not feature the “Light camera technology” seen on the first-generation Nokia 9 Pureview. The noted publication does hint that the information doesn’t come from a reliable source and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Nokia 9.3 Specifications and features
Coming to the specifications, the Nokia 9.3 is rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor. In another leak, it was revealed that the upcoming flagship might come with a notch-less display and might offer either an elevating selfie camera or an under-display camra. As of now, it’s not confirmed which one of the two will find its way to the final product. We can expect the Nokia 9.3 to boot Android 10 in its stock iteration. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the upcoming flagship as of now.
