Finland-based Nokia might be working on two new smartphones, a premium flagship phone and another low budget phone, reportedly named as Nokia 9 and Nokia 2 respectively. There have been a lot of leaks and rumours already about the phones and a fresh report by On Leaks reveals some all-new information about the Nokia 9.
The leaked renders of Nokia 9 show a sleek, bezel-less design. Along with it, we can also spot two cameras on the back, similar to Nokia 8 but in a different alignment. One of the biggest surprises is the lack of headphone jack in the renders. Considering that Apple removed it last year, HTC, Xiaomi and Google did it too, other phone manufacturers might follow suit, including Nokia.
It was also reported that the new Nokia 9 might be a bit cheaper than the recently launched Nokia 8. Although the renders don’t seem to show how thin the bezels are, the reports say that the phone will have ‘thin bezels’.
The dual rear cameras seen in the renders lack the Zeiss branding which was present in the Nokia 8. It is yet to be seen whether this phone will sport camera lenses from Carl Zeiss.
According to speculations, the phone might come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel which will most probably have a quad HD resolution. On the performance front, it might sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 along with 4GB of RAM. There might be two variants of the phone i.e. a 64GB and another 128GB of internal storage.
Since it will mostly release in about a month or two, the phone might come with Android Oreo out of the box. However, HMD Global and Nokia still haven’t confirmed any details about the phone.
It will be exciting to see this new offering from Nokia. Did you like its design? What are your expectations from the new phone?
