Nokia 9 PureView Android 10 update finally starts rolling out

HMD Global has finally started rolling out the Android 10 update to its newest flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9 PureView. The latest firmware for the handset is around 1.4GB in size, and it is being rolled out over the air in phases, so not everyone will get it right away. Apart from the latest version of Android, the new Nokia 9 PureView software upgrade brings Android security patch for November. The Nokia 9 PureView has become the second Nokia smartphone to receive the Android 10 update after the Nokia 8.1, which received the same update in October.

The firmware has the much anticipated Dark Theme and the Smart Reply feature, which lets you reply for messages from most of the apps from the notification centre itself. The upgrade also brings gesture navigation, additional controls for privacy and location, a Focus mode, and more. YOu can also expect the update to offer improved security features and performance enhancements.

For the uninitiated, the Nokia 9 PureView was launched as the world’s first smartphone to flaunt five primary cameras on the back with Carl ZEISS imaging technology. The phone has five 12MP lenses at the rear, and it is capable of capturing uncompressed RAW images in DNG format. On the front, the device has a 12MP snapper. The other highlights of the handset include a 5.99-inch QHD+ pOLED PureView display, a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,320mAh battery with wireless and fast charging support.

Nokia 9 PureView price in India

The Nokia 9 PureView comes in a single memory variant in India that costs Rs 49,999. The handset is available only in a Blue colour model in the country.
