The Nokia 9 PureView has been subject to a bunch of rumors and leaks since last year. At a pre-MWC event, HMD Global has finally taken the wraps off the company’s flagship device, the Nokia 9 PureView ahead.
The Nokia 9 PureView flaunts a metal unibody design. It sports a 5.9-inch display bearing 2K (QHD+) resolution. It also supports HDR 10 producing crisp details, greater contrast, and deeper blacks. The device features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Nokia 9 PureView is also IP67 rated for dust and water resistance.
In the photography department, the Nokia 9 PureView is an industry-first phone with five rear cameras. The penta-camera module is powered by a ZEISS-certified lens. It consists of dual 12MP RGB sensors for producing accurate colors. The other three are 12MP monochromatic sensors with f/1.8 aperture. The camera setup is accompanied by a dual LED flash. Upfront, the Nokia 9 PureView is fitted with a 20MP sensor for shooting selfies and face unlock. The smartphone also supports shooting images in RAW format, and captures all images in HDR.
Under the hood, the Nokia 9 PureView is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 845 chipset. The processor is coupled with 6GB RAM and offers 128GB internal memory. The smartphone is a part of Android One programme and boots Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Users can expect guaranteed and timely OS updates along with a stock UI.
A 3,320mAh battery unit is fitted inside which keeps the device running. It supports 18W fast charging and is also compatible with Qi Wireless charging technology. On the connectivity front, the Nokia 9 PureView features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. However, the smartphone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
