At MWC 2022, Nokia has launched the C2 2nd Edition, Nokia C21, and Nokia C21 Plus smartphones. The new C-series phones debut as entry-level offerings aimed towards people who are looking to upgrade from feature phones and come just days after HMD Global had to pull some of its devices from the European market.

The Nokia C2 (2nd Edition) offers up to 2GB of RAM and Android 11 (Go edition).  The Nokia C21 and C21 Plus come with key specs such as a waterdrop notch display, up to 4GB of RAM, a Unisoc processor, and up to 4,000mAh battery. Nokia C2 2nd Edition runs on Android 11 (Go edition)

The Nokia C2 2nd Edition has a 5.7-inch display that supports a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It has an LED flash assisted 2-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB / 2GB of RAM.

It is equipped with 32GB of internal storage and comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. It has a 2,400mAh removable battery that supports 5W charging. In addition, it carries support for wired and wireless FM radio.

Nokia C21 features a Unisoc chip

The Nokia C21 and C21 Plus have a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a teardrop notch. Both phones are powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset. The C21 has 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, whereas the Plus variant comes with 2GB / 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of built-in storage.

Both smartphones have a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an LED flash on the front. The C21 gets an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, whereas the C21 Plus’ back panel has a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. The C21 has a 3,000mAh battery with 5W charging support, whereas the C21 Plus packs a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging. Both phones come with support for wired FM radio.

The Nokia C2 (2nd Edition), C21, and C21 Plus come with common features such as a fingerprint scanner, face unlock, singe/dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth 4.2 (5.0 on C21 Plus), GPS, a microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The devices run on Android 11 (Go edition) and they are confirmed to receive two years of quarterly security updates. The C21 Plus comes equipped with an IP52 rated dustproof and splash-resistant chassis.

The Nokia C2 2nd Edition is priced at €79 (~Rs 6,650), whereas the Nokia C21 starts at €99 (~Rs 8,350). Both models come in Dark Blue and Warm Grey colours. The C21 Plus is priced at €119 (~Rs 10,050) and it comes in Dark Cyan and Warm Grey colours. The C21 is scheduled to go on sale by the end of March, while the C2 2nd Edition and C21 Plus will go on sale from April. HMD Global is yet to confirm the India pricing and availability of these newly unveiled Nokia C-series of smartphones.
