Nokia hosted an online-only event today to launch a number of devices including the third-generation Nokia C-series smartphone. The new Nokia C3 joins the Nokia C1 and Nokia C2 in the line-up. HMD Global is promoting the latest launch as a, ‘Made for India, Made in India’ smartphone.
Notably, HMD Global has already launched the same smartphone in China earlier this month. The entry-level device offers a fingerprint scanner, a stock Android 10 OS and a removable battery. The pre-booking of the Nokia C3 in India will start on September 10th and it will go on sale from September 17th.
Nokia C3 specifications and features
The Nokia C3 ships with a 5.99-inch HD+ LCD display with 1,440 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Powering the smartphone is the entry-level Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. Nokia is offering the C3 in two configurations in India – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 3GB. Notably, the China variant of the handset only offers the latter.
Coming to cameras, the Nokia C3 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The rear panel of the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel primary camera accompanied by an LED flash. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the back for security. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery.
The Nokia C3 comes with a stock Android 10 interface and features a dedicated button for launching the Google Assistant. This button can also be reconfigured to launch other apps through a double or long-press. Connectivity options of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone slot.
Nokia C3 price in India
The Nokia C3 has been priced at Rs 7,499 for the 2GB + 16GB variant and Rs 8,999 for the 3GB + 32GB model in India. The phone will be available in two colour options – Cyan and Sand. It can be picked up from the official online store of the brand and top mobile retailers in the country. Nokia is also offering a one-year replacement guarantee with the smartphone.
