Nokia Daredevil With Circular Camera Module Could Launch As The Nokia 5.2

Last week, a mysterious Nokia phone dubbed the “Nokia Daredevil” appeared in leaked images. The leak also carried vital details on the specs of the smartphone. Fresh information shared by Twitter account Nokia Anew that is known for spilling information on unreleased Nokia phones has claimed that the Nokia Daredevil may debut as Nokia 5.2.

According to the tweet, the Finnish firm was planning to add some high-end features such as Zeiss optics, PureDisplay and OZO Audio to the Nokia 5.2. The leaked details of the Nokia Daredevil phone that had appeared in the previous week seems to match the expected features for the Nokia 5.2 handset. Hence, it appears that the Nokia Daredevil may hit the market as the Nokia 5.2.

The tweet also states that the Nokia 5.1 smartphone from last year has been replaced by the Nokia 4-series. Hence, the Nokia 5.2 will be moving to a more expensive segment with some features that are found on high-end Nokia smartphones.

The rumor mill has revealed that the Nokia Daredevil that has the model number TA-1198 features a waterdrop-style notch display with full HD+ resolution. The glass rear of the smartphone has a round-shaped camera module with triple lenses and an LED flash. It includes a 48-megapixel ZEISS lens and a superwide lens. The exact configurations of the other sensors are not known. The smartphone also features a Night Mode function for better low-light photography. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear shell of the device and it also seems to feature a dedicated hardware key for launching the Google Assistant.

The smartphone is rumored to be running Android 9 Pie. Like the other Nokia phones, the Nokia 5.2 will likely arrive in the market as an Android One device. The smartphone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery that can be charged through USB Type-C.

HMD Global is yet to confirm on the existence of the Nokia 5.2 smartphone. Now that many details of the phone have appeared the past few days, it appears that it may go official soon. With some advanced features expected to be available on the phone, the handset may carry an expensive price tag.
