The Nokia G20 has been launched in India. The smartphone will go on pre-orders in the country starting July 7th. The Nokia G20 will be competing with the likes of the POCO M3 Pro 5G (review) and Redmi Note 10 (review) in India.

Notably, the Nokia G20 has been launched globally earlier this year, alongside a slew of other smartphones including the Nokia X20. The Nokia G20 features a 6.5-inch display, a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup, and a 3-day battery life as per the brand. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming launch in India.

The Nokia G20 is priced at Rs 12,999. It comes in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. In India, the Nokia G20 will be made available through Amazon and Nokia’s official online store. Pre-orders will be available starting July 7th, wheras sales start on July 15th.

Customers who pre-order the device can either get a Rs 500 discount, or avail Rs 2,099 off if they purchase the smartphone along with the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite.

Nokia G20 specifications and features

The Nokia G20 features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch design and a taller 20:9 aspect ratio. At its core, the smartphone features the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Out of the box, the Nokia G20 boots stock edition of Android 11 and will get two years of OS upgrades.

Coming to cameras, the Nokia G20 features a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel f/1.79 main lens, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and calls. The Amazon India listing highlights the night mode, AI imaging modes, and OZO Audio.

Powering the Nokia G20 is a 5,050mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Nokia claims that the smartphone can last up to three days on a single charge. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
