Nokia Android smartphones have been receiving quick software updates in the past and the trend seems to continue. A new report now claims that some of the brand’s devices will start receiving Android P updates sometime in August itself. This can be very likely as all of the new Nokia smartphones are part of the Android One program that promises guaranteed, timely software updates.
NokiaPowerUser has published a report based on the claims by one of their readers who received an email from Nokia’s customer care. The email mentions that Nokia devices will be getting the Android P update in August. This will obviously be the Android P Beta as Google will unveil the name and publicly launch the new version sometime in Q3 2018.
There is no confirmation by Nokia regarding this update and the brand will probably make an official announcement soon. Recently, it confirmed on Twitter about the Face Unlock update. Chances are that both these updates can be clubbed and pushed out together in August.
It is also worth noting that the Nokia 7 Plus is already on the global Android P Beta program. Other phones, as mentioned above might get this update in August. It is good to see Nokia constantly pushing out new updates to its existing set of Android smartphones.
