Nokia smart TV with 55-inch 4K display launched in India for Rs 41,999

As teased earlier, the e-commerce portal Flipkart has launched the first Nokia-branded smart television in India. As expected, the Nokia TV is powered by the Android 9 Pie-based Android TV operating system and comes with the Google Play store to let you download any Android apps you want. The TV ships with a remote control that has dedicated keys to let you trigger the apps for Netflix, YouTube, and Google Assistant to let you access content easily. The smart TV flaunts a premium design with narrow bezels on all the sides.

The first Nokia smart television flaunts a large 55-inch 4K LED display with features like Intelligent Dimming technology, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 support to provide an immersive media experience. The company claims that the Nokia TV is capable of delivering content that is brighter, sharper, and more vivid. The TV comes with Clear View and Clear Sound technologies that reduce the noise of digitally streamed content. The device also has Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital, and DTS TruSurround technologies, apart from bottom-firing speakers that are touted to provide powerful audio. Notably, the TV also flaunts sound technology from JBL.

Moving on to the other specifications, the Nokia smart Android TV is powered by the PureX quad-core processor, which is accompanied by 2.25GB of RAM. The TV has MEMC technology, which reduces blur and jitters while watching online content. The device has a wide-viewing angle of 178-degrees. Flipkart hasn’t revealed the connectivity features of the Nokia smart TV, but you can expect it to offer a few HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth options.

Nokia smart TV price in India

The first Nokia smart TV has been priced competitively in the country at Rs 41,999. The device will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart starting from December 10th at 12pm. The e-tailer will be offering a discount of 10 percent on purchases made via credit or debit cards, net banking and EMI.
