Nokia Smart TV to go on sale today at 12pm on Flipkart

Last week, Nokia recently ventured into the smart television business in India with the launch of its first TV. Nokia partnered with Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart to create its first Android-powered smart TV. The device flaunts a 55-inch 4K display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a 60Hz refresh rate. It boasts a premium appeal as it features slim bezels around the display. The Nokia TV runs an Android 9.0-based OS and features a 24-watt audio setup tuned by JBL. The Flipkart exclusive Nokia smart TV will go on sale today starting at 12pm.

The Nokia smart TV is priced at Rs 41,999, making it more expensive than rival products from Xiaomi, Motorola and OnePlus. The Nokia TV comes with a bundled wall mount, stand, and a Bluetooth remote that supports Google Assistant. As part of an introductory offer, Flipkart is offering complete TV protection at a special price of Rs 999. The warranty offers protection from accidental damage and manufacturing defects for a period of three years. Flipkart is further offering a buyback guarantee, where it offers the best price after three years. Buyers of the Nokia TV can take advantage of a Rs 2,000 discount through credit / debit cards, netbanking and EMI transactions.

The 4K LED display on the Nokia TV supports Dolby Vision, intelligent dimming and HDR 10, offering an immersive audio-visual experience. Nokia claims its smart TV is capable of delivering sharper, brighter and more vivid content. It flaunts Clear Sound and Clear View technologies reducing noise distortions on digitally-streamed content. Aiding the bottom-firing JBL speakers is Dolby Digital, Dolby Audio, and DTS TruSurround, which combine to offer an immersive entertainment experience. 

The Nokia smart TV is powered by a quad-core PureX processor with 2.25GB of RAM. It features MEMC, which reduces image blurring to a considerable extent. The display also flaunts a wide viewing angle of 178-degrees. Although the connectivity features are yet to be officially revealed, the smart TV is expected to feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, along with a few HDMI ports.
