Nothing Phone (1) design teased
The Nothing Phone (1) will come with a translucent chassis that will allow users to view the internals of the device like a camera and a wireless charging coil. The sketches show off the potential design of the upcoming smartphone. Tom Howard stated that they wanted to bring the inside out which created challenges as there are over 400 components in a smartphone. He described the engineering process as a ‘jigsaw puzzle’.
The Nothing Phone (1)’s frame will be made from recycled aluminium to reduce its carbon footprint.
CEO Carl Pei added that Nothing will maintain the same design philosophy and the Phone (1) and ear (1) will be from the same family. He wants the company to have its own, recognizable, and iconic design language from the start.
Apart from the design details, All Round-PC reports that the Nothing Phone (1) will launch on July 21st. It is tipped to carry a price tag of €500 (~Rs 41,466). Additionally, rumours also suggest that the smartphone may be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.
We will learn more about the Nothing Phone (1) in the coming weeks.
