Nothing Phone (2) model number and key specifications have appeared in a new report by the MySmartPrice. The device will replace the Nothing Phone (1), which debuted as Nothing’s first smartphone last year.
In a recent interview, Nothing CEO and co-founder Cal Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be a “more premium” device as compared to its predecessor. As per the report, the Nothing Phone (2) has the model number A065. The device will be equipped with an upcoming Snapdragon 8-series chipset. To recall, the Nothing Phone (1) featured the Snapdragon 778G chipset. The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8-series chip on the Phone (2) suggests that it will be stacked against flagship phones from other brands.
Like the predecessor model, the Phone (2) may arrive with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device is also expected to arrive with support for virtual RAM. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery.
There will be an AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz on the front side of the Nothing Phone (2). The report states that the adaptive display will refresh automatically based on the content running on the screen. As far as the launch is concerned, Nothing may announce in the third quarter of 2023.
In related news, Nothing is also working on the Nothing Ear (2) earbuds. A recent leak carried the high-resolution renders of the device, which revealed that it will come with slight changes as compared to the predecessor model. The Ear (2) is expected to launch in the first half of 2022.
