Nothing Phone (2) TDRA listing spotted, another certification hints July launch

Nothing Phone (2) has received TDRA certification. The device has appeared with the model number “A065” in the database of the UAE’s certification platform. The same device has been spotted at the BIS certification in India and on Geekbench. These listings show that it will not take too long for the Nothing Phone (2) to go official.

According to reports, the Nothing Phone (2) will debut in July in India. Before the expected launch, the brand has been gradually confirming the key features of the device. While the original Nothing Phone (1) was powered by an upper midrange chip, the Phone (2) will feature a more powerful flagship SoC. Here is a look at what to expect from the device.

As can be seen in the screenshot, the TDRA certification has not revealed any details on the specifications of the Nothing Phone (2). However, it is a good hint that its launch is imminent.

The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to house a 6.7-inch OLED panel, which may offer a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 4,700mAh battery.

The handset will run on Android 13 OS, which will have the latest Nothing OS 2.0 on top. The company has confirmed that the new UI will be focused on productivity and minimalism. The device will receive two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. For better durability, the device will feature an aluminium frame.

As per other reports, the Phone (2) will be equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is no information on the cameras on the device. The above-shown CAD renders of the Phone (2) were leaked last week. However, a tweet from Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei that surfaced soon after hinted that the renders were inaccurate.

Some reports have claimed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be priced at Rs 40,000. It will be sold through Flipkart like other Nothing products.
