- Nothing has revealed the design of its Concept 1 earbuds giving us a first look
- The company has partnered with Sweden-based Teenage Engineering to design its initial products
- Nothing is expected to launch its first devices in the summer this year
Earlier in January this year, former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had launched its new company called ‘Nothing’. Now the brand has dropped the first teaser of its first product giving us a glimpse at what to expect.
Nothing’s upcoming debut device could be truly wireless earbuds called Concept 1. It has also shared the design principles of its first device. The company said that it wants to work on future technologies that won’t’ involve any screen or dedicated devices but for now, it would start working with existing product categories and interpret them through its vision.

Nothing’s debut product could be transparent TWS earbuds
It’s worth noting that Concept 1 isn’t the final product that will hit the shelves in the market. Nothing says that Concept 1 takes design inspiration from ‘grandmother’s tobacco pipe’.
Going by the looks, the earbuds have a transparent build and minimal aesthetics. There is a small stem (that looks like a capsule) as well with the company branding inside the transparent body. The design seems lightweight and futuristic. “We peel off everything superficial, like unnecessary branding on the surface, to focus solely on what adds true value to the user experience”, said Carl Pei in a press statement.
Nothing added that the design of Concept 1 revolves around three elements – weightless, effortless and timeless. The company hinted that it wants to launch products that look natural and warm and don’t easily feel outdated.
Nothing hasn’t revealed a specific launch timeline of its products yet. However, the brand has announced the first products will arrive this summer. Since the first design has been teased, we can expect more information to crop up in the coming months.
