WhatsApp is rolling out the latest update for the iOS devices bringing interesting features and giving more power to Siri. Additionally, the latest update also brings some visual improvements to the Calls tab, Contact Info, and Group info screens. You can also select multiple statuses at once and forward/delete them easily. With this update, now WhatsApp will support the Persian language too.
Earlier, WhatsApp already allowed you to compose and send messages through Siri. But this update now allows Siri to read out your latest messages too. It works hands-free, which will come handy while you’re driving or your hands are messy. To make this work, you just have to say, “Hey Siri, read my last WhatsApp message” and Siri will read out the new messages to you. It will then also prompt you to dictate the reply. However, once Siri read your latest message, it won’t be able to read it again. Also, this update will work only on iOS 10.3 and higher versions.
The instant messaging app has also redesigned the two-step verification interface and now camera remembers its last stage of usage too. Apart from this update, there are also rumours floating around claiming that the company is also testing the live location sharing feature and messages revoking option. Recently, there was also news that the WhatsApp is planning to foray into mobile payments (UPI).
