Nubia Red Magic 3 Gaming Smartphone Appears in Master Lu Listing Revealing Key Specifications

An upcoming Nubia smartphone with model number NX629J had been certified by China’s 3C certification agency this week, revealing support for 30W wired fast charging. It is being speculated that the device could be the Red Magic 3 gaming smartphone, which is set to go official in April. The same device has now been caught in the Master Lu benchmark database.

Red Magic 3 8GB RAM Variant Surfaces Online

The NX629J Master Lu benchmark listing confirms the upcoming gaming smartphone will be powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset under the hood. While the company had officially confirmed that the smartphone will be available with up to 12GB of RAM, the 8GB RAM variant has leaked online for the first time. The upcoming gaming smartphone is listed to feature a 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution display, although the screen size still remains a mystery. Thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset and the hybrid cooling technology under the hood, the Nubia Red Magic 3 scored an impressive 406,129 points in the benchmark. Unlike other gaming smartphones launched so far, Nubia’s upcoming gaming smartphone will come equipped with both liquid cooling and a cooling fan inside.

Apart from the presence of a hybrid cooling technology, Nubia has also confirmed that the Red Magic 3 will feature a 4D vibration motor for customizable haptic feedback during gaming. Another area where the gaming smartphone is expected to be a significant improvement over its predecessor is display. If rumors are to be believed, the Red Magic 3 will come with a 120 Hz refresh rate display, similar to the Razer Phone. In terms of battery life, Nubia General Manager Ni Fei has already confirmed that the Red Magic 3 will be a huge upgrade over the Red Magic Mars. It is expected to pack a 5000mAh capacity battery, which would mean the Red Magic 3 should be able to leave all its competitors behind when it comes to battery stamina.
