Nubia Red Magic 3 With Snapdragon 855 and 12GB RAM Launched: Price, Specifications

In April, Nubia had launched the Red Magic 3 smartphone fueled by the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform in China. Today, the Chinese firm held a launch event in India to debut the Red Magic 3 phone for the Indian audience. The smartphone is packed with some exciting features such as a 90Hz display and pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons.

Nubia Red Magic 3 Specifications and Features

The Red Magic 3 has a large 6.65-inch AMOLED display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The notch-less display carries full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. The display is equipped with support for DC dimming. The phone runs Android 9 Pie overlaid with Red Magic 2.0 UI.

The Snapdragon 855 chipset on the Red Magic 3 is assisted by up to 12GB of RAM. For heat dissipation, there is a copper plate and inbuilt cooling fan. The 5,000mAh battery supports 27W fast charging through USB Type-C.


The rear shell of the phone features a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture. It can capture 4K video at 30fps, and slo-motion videos in 720p at 120fps. Additonally, the camera is also capable of captureing 8K videos. Placed on its front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. There is no microSD card slot on the device. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also features stereo 3D surround sound speakers.

A customisable RGB-lit strip is placed below the rear camera of the Red Magic 3. There are ultrasonic pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons that can be used while gaming. Even the fingerprint scanner adopts gaming functionality while playing games. There is 4D smart shock onboard that vibrates the phone according to different gaming scenes.

Nubia Red Magic 3 Price and Availability

The Nubia Red Magic 3 has arrived in India in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, which are priced at Rs 35,999 and Rs 46,999 respectively. The phone will go on sale via Flipkart on June 27th. Apart from the phone, Nubia has also announced a charging dock, earphones and gaming controller, priced at Rs 2,499, Rs 2,999 and Rs 1,999 respectively.
