- Nvidia has unveiled GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs
- It has announced GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 GPUs
- The company has revealed the prices of both GPUs
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 GPUs have been launched in India. Designed for desktop PCs, the RTX 40 GPU series has arrived as the successor to the RTX 30 series, which debuted around two years ago. These are the world’s first GPUs based on the company’s new Ada Lovelace architecture, which promises faster performance for rendering, graphics, data science, and AI.
Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) neural graphics are built into the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 GPUs. These graphics can make whole frames on their own without using the CPU, which speeds up gameplay. Both GPUs will be available for purchase in October. Ahead of its sale, the company has confirmed the prices of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 specifications
The GeForce RTX 4080 GPU comes in 16GB GDDR6X and 12GB GDDR6X memory configurations. The former has 9,728 CUDA cores and 76 RT cores. It offers 22Gbps throughput over a 256-bit bus. It is said to be threefold faster than the RTX 3080 Ti with DLSS 3.
On the other hand, the 16GB GDDR6X variant has 7,680 CUDA cores, 60 RT cores, and 21Gbps throughput over a 192-bit bus. The company claims that this variant is not only faster but also consumes less power than the RTX 3090 Ti while using DLSS 3.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 specifications
According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU is two to four times faster than its predecessor, the RTX 3090 Ti. It comes with 24GB of GDDR6X memory and consumes 450W power. It can deliver up to 100fps in 4k games. It has a maximum digital resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 pixels and comes with HDMI and 3x DisplayPort display connectors.
