Ola founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said to PTI, “Ola’s product range will span Rs one lakh (entry two-wheelers) to Rs 40-50 lakh (premium electric car) and the company’s vision is to be a “global leader in mid-size, small and premium electric cars which are suitable for markets and consumers like India.”

The upcoming premium electric car from Ola will be the “fastest and sportiest” in India. It is scheduled to debut in 18 to 24 months. At present, the company is envisioning all the products it will be launching in the future.

The company will target a million cars a year by volume by 2026 or 2027. Aggarwal further said, “Global automakers think that the Indian market is not ready for world-class technology and hence sell their hand-me-down tech in India. Now we need to change this. We deserve a car that defines this new India, an India that is fearless and believes in writing its own destiny. “

Ola’s first electric car: what to expect

Ola’s first premium electric car will be a keyless and handleless vehicle. It will be one of the fastest cars in India, able to reach 0 to 100 kmph within 4 seconds. It will offer a range of 500 km per charge. Like its scooters, it will be powered by the company’s MoveOS software.

The teaser released by the company hints that the Ola car will sport a 4-door coupe-like design. It will have a rounded roofline and come with a board LED light bar, which spans across the width of its bonnet. The light bar will be fitted with the company’s logo. The rear side of the car will feature a large LED bar for the tail lamp and Ola logo.
