OnePlus 10 tipped to launch with Dimensity 9000 chipset

OnePlus 10 is likely to launch soon. At present, the OnePlus 10 Pro is available in the US, Europe, India, and China. However, the company did not unveil the standard OnePlus 10 alongside the Pro model. Now, tipster Yogesh Brar has claimed that OnePlus 10 is in the works and will launch soon. In addition, he has also revealed the name of the chipset that will fuel the OnePlus 10.

Last year, OnePlus released the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R in the first half of 2021. Hence, the company is expected to release the vanilla OnePlus 10 along with the OnePlus 10R affordable flagship phone in the next few months in India and some other markets. The tipster has also claimed that OnePlus is also working on an “Ultra” model.

It appears that the upcoming OnePlus 10 may not be easily available for purchase, as Brar has revealed that it is being readied for a limited release. The vanilla model will be driven by the Dimensity 9000, which powers the likes of the Redmi K50 Pro and OPPO Find X5 Pro.

The other specifications of the OnePlus 10 are under wraps. Based on the specs of the predecessor model it can be speculated that the OnePlus 10 may feature a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and 65W fast charging.  

OnePlus is reportedly working on new smartphones with the “Oscar” and “Pickle” codenames. The Oscar device may be released as the OnePlus 10, whereas the Pickle may debut as the OnePlus 10R. A recent report revealed that the OnePlus 10R will be based on the Realme GT Neo 3, which features the Dimensity 8100 SoC and 150W fast charging support.

OnePlus 10 Ultra: what to expect

The OnePlus 10 Ultra could be OnePlus’ weapon to take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus may be used in the device. It could be released in the second half of 2022.
