- It not only showcases the design but also reveals its launch date
- The device is likely to debut on January 11th, 2022
OnePlus 10 Pro’s official-looking promo video has leaked on Weibo. It gives a good look at the design of the upcoming OnePlus flagship. In addition, it also reveals its launch date.
Last week, OnePlus confirmed that it will start pre-orders for the OnePlus 10 Pro from January 4th, 2021. Since then, the rumour mill has been speculating that it may debut on the same date. However, the leaked video reveals that it will be announced in the second week of January 2022. Rumours are rife that the company will be announcing only the Pro model, and not its vanilla variant through the upcoming launch event.
OnePlus 10 Pro design, launch date
The OnePlus 10 Pro that has appeared in the leaked teaser video is not too different from the CAD renders that surfaced last month. The display of the device has a punch-hole design and curved edges. Moving to the back reveals its square-shaped camera module with Hasselblad branding. The left portion of the camera unit fuses with the edge of the device.
The camera module houses three lenses and a round-shaped LED flash with ambiguous ‘P2D 50T’ text inside it. The video also reveals that it will be arriving in black and green colours. Lastly, the video states that the smartphone will be announced at 2 PM (local time) on January 11th, 2022, in China. OnePlus is yet to confirm the launch date. It is speculated that the other markets including India may receive the smartphone by March or April 2022.
OnePlus 10 Pro specifications (rumoured)
The OnePlus 10 Pro rumours have revealed that it has a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display, which delivers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging support. It is also expected to arrive with support for 50W wireless charging.
The rear camera of OnePlus 10 Pro may feature an OIS-assisted 48-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, it may house a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The device may come with up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and it will run on Android 12 OS, which will be overlaid with a new UI that offers a mixed experience of OxygenOS and ColorOS.
