OnePlus 10 Pro to launch with OxygenOS 12 in global markets

  • OnePlus 10 Pro global edition is likely to launch in March or April
  • New leak states it will come with OxygenOS instead of the new unified OS
  • Unified OS has been seemingly delayed

OnePlus 10 Pro global edition is expected to launch in March or April. The device is tipped to offer the same specs that were made available on its Chinese variant, which was announced earlier this month. In September 2020, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that the OnePlus 10 series released in global markets will run on a new unified OS by merging OPPO’s ColorOS and OnePlus’ OxygenOS.

To recollect, the OnePlus 10 Pro that debuted in China earlier this month came with Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12 on top. The global edition of the OnePlus 10 Pro was expected to feature the unified version of ColorOS and OxygenOS. However, it can be said based on the new leak that the OnePlus 10 Pro global version will run on Android 12 OS overlaid with OxygenOS 12. If the new information turns out to be true, OnePlus may release an official confirmation in the coming weeks to reveal the reason behind the unified OS’ delay.
