Last week OnePlus launched its first Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 beta for OnePlus 10 Pro users. Now the company is rolling out the second beta version. The OnePlus 10 Pro handsets that have already received the first beta will receive the second update. If your smartphone is running the stable version of OxygenOS 12, then first you will have to participate in the beta programme to get the latest update.
The second beta release addresses several known flaws while introducing many new features. According to OnePlus, this upgrade includes “more functional features” than the prior one. The latest beta release delivers the Aquamorphic Design theme to the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Besides performance and memory management enhancements, OxygenOS 13 adds a new super power-saving mode that limits all non-critical phone operations and allows you to run only six apps to extend battery life. OnePlus has also introduced a new Kid Space feature that limits the screen time of your children while protecting their eyes from the hazardous blue radiation emitted by smartphone displays.
Furthermore, OnePlus is introducing a new Meeting Assistant, which will enhance your virtual meetings experience. Apart from that, the company is also improving its earphone connectivity, which will boost your audio experience. The Always-On Display (AOD) will also get some significant updates.
Besides introducing new features, OnePlus has also addressed a number of previously reported bugs. Such as icons overlapping, unable to wake up on double-tapping, quick settings backdrop becoming translucent, and camera latency issues.
However, users should keep in mind that this is also a beta version and not a stable update, which means it will also have some issues. On several forums, OnePlus 10Pro users have reported that Google Pay and Netflix are not working on the latest beta version. Although OnePlus is working on the issue, if you use Google Pay or Netflix on a day-to-day basis, then you should wait until the problem is sorted.
