- OnePlus 11 Pro 5G is tipped to launch this year in China
- It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
- Performance and design could be the major attractions of the OnePlus 11 Pro
OnePlus 11 Pro 5G is rumoured to be in the works. OnePlus started the year 2022 by launching the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G in January. A couple of months later, it was released in other markets, including India. It appears that the company could be working on a similar strategy for its next flagship phone.
Qualcomm will hold its Snapdragon Tech Summit event in November of this year. This event is likely to see the arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, which will power most of the next-generation Android flagships. Hence, it is likely that the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
OnePlus 11 Pro 5G launch timeframe tipped
In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station said that OnePlus is working on a flagship phone with Qualcomm’s SM8550 chip, which is nothing but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While he did not mention the exact moniker of the device, it appears that he could be talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G’s successor. In all likelihood, it will debut with the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G marketing name.
He revealed that the OnePlus flagship featuring the SD8G2 will debut by the end of 2022. He added that the company will mainly focus on aspects like design and performance on its upcoming flagship. The device is expected to have a Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with curved edges, up to 16GB of RAM, Hasselblad camera improvements, an alert slider, and fast charging at 80W or 150W.
As far as the India launch is concerned, the OnePlus 11 Pro 5G may arrive in the country a couple of months after its China launch. At present, there is no official word on the arrival of the OnePlus 11 series from the brand.
