OnePlus 2 to Get VoLTE Support, OTA Coming Next Quarter

OnePlus recently announced an over the air (OTA) update for its 2015’s flagship device OnePlus 2. The company has stated the update will bring one of the highly requested features — VoLTE support, to all OnePlus 2 users sometime in the next quarter. OnePlus also hinted that company’s older phones such as OnePlus One and OnePlus X will not be benefitted by the VoLTE support.

The company recommended its users having the older OnePlus One and OnePlus X phones to use Jio4GVoice app to avail improved call quality on the Reliance Jio network. The company, however, has not specified any specific release date for this update. It is worth noting that the company’s current flagship device OnePlus 3 already has the VoLTE support.

Reliance Jio’s exciting welcome offer is causing people to seek phones with VoLTE functionality in huge numbers. Keeping this mind, ‎Vikas Agarwal, General Manager at OnePlus India, shared this news via a forum post.
