OnePlus 3S Gets Certified In China, Might Feature Snapdragon 821

Rumors are floating all around the internet regarding the new refreshed variant of OnePlus 3 ever since the device is falling behind the demand. From last couple of weeks, OnePlus 3 is running out of stocks globally.

Pete Leu, CEO of OnePlus cited that the shortage of AMOLED display is the reason behind the delay in shipping. He also said that OnePlus is never going to drive away from optic AMOLED display.

With all these recent development, some new evidence emerged online which claimed that the Chinese company is secretly planning to come up with a refreshed version of OnePlus 3.

A new device tagged as OnePlus A3010 (OnePlus 3 is A3000) was recently spotted in China. This smartphone which could be OnePlus 3S just received the 3C certification in China.

There are also rumors that the OnePlus 3S will be powered by Snapdragon 821 which is the latest processor and powers the Google Pixel smartphones. Currently, Snapdragon 821 is the only VR-ready chipset. If OnePlus is planning to compete with Google’s Pixel lineup, it has to be a Daydream ready smartphone.

With that said, the price of OnePlus 3S is also expected to be higher than the current flagship device, OnePlus 3 as Snapdragon 821 is a costly chipset. A Daydream-enabled flagship device powered by latest Snapdragon 821 would be a great deal for consumers too, as it won’t be as costly as Google Pixel.

The screenshots posted by GizmoChina showed that the OnePlus 3S could look similar to its sibling from outside, with different hardware inside. So, let’s wait for further updates, & we at PriceBaba will keep you posted with that.
