OnePlus has confirmed that it will be unveiling the OnePlus 5T smartphone in India on 16th November. The Chinese firm will be using a distinctive strategy to introduce the OP5T in India as it will be livestreaming the unveil event live through five theaters across India.
The OnePlus 5T’s global unveil event will be held on 16th November. The event that will take place at Brooklyn, New York will be broadcasted live through the multiplexes in India. Starting at 9:30 PM IST, the OnePlus 5T launch event will be shown at following five theaters:
- PVR ECX, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi
- PVR Phoenix Market City, Viman Nagar, Pune
- PVR Phoenix Market City, Lower Parel, Mumbai
- PVR Forum, Kukatpally, Hyderabad
- PVR Orion, Rajajinagar, Bangalore
The tickets for the aforementioned venues can be purchased through BookMyShow app starting from 8th November from 10 AM onwards. Each ticket is priced at Rs. 99 and only one ticket will be available per account.
OnePlus fans who will attend the OnePlus 5T launch event at the above listed theaters will be provided with free popcorn and coke. They will also receive OnePlus 2018 calendar worth Rs. 799. These people will also stand a chance to get hands-on experience of the OP5T phone. However, the phone won’t be available for buying at any of the above listed theaters on the launch day.
The livestream of the event will be available for viewing through the official site of OnePlus. As the Chinese manufacturer has been doing since the arrival of OnePlus One in the country, the OnePlus 5T will be exclusively made available through Amazon India. It will be running a flash sale for OnePlus 5T on 21st November at 4:30 PM and the official sales will begin on 28th November. The smartphone will be available for buying in North America and Europe from 21st November. In China, the smartphone will be available for purchase from 1st December.
OnePlus CEO Carl Pei had recently hinted on Weibo that the highest variant of the OnePlus 5T that would probably feature 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage may not cost more than $600 (~Rs. 39,000). The OP5T is expected to house a 6-inch FHD+ display and it will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC. Like the OP5, it is expected to arrive in 6 GB RAM / 64 GB storage version. It is likely to house a 3,450mAh battery and may come preloaded with Android 8.0 Oreo. It may feature a 20-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear cameras.
