Smartphone maker OnePlus has started rolling out a new OxygenOS update to three smartphones launched last year. The list includes the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro. The latest update brings the January 2020 Android security patch and also adds VoWiFi calling support for Jio users. It also offers new features, bug fixes and improvements. For EU and Global models of the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, the new OxygenOS update is labelled as 10.0.4 while the OnePlus 7T Pro’s version number is 10.0.7. In India, all three smartphones carry the latest update version number 10.3.1.
It’s worth noting that the updates all bring the same changes. With the latest OS version, OnePlus has optimised RAM management, improved black/blank screen issues with some apps, improved system stability and general bug fixes. OxygenOS 10.3.1 adds integrated VoWiFi registration for Jio and a new cloud service to enable sync with Contacts and Notes. There is also an updated Work-Life balance mode with optimised message notifications, app selection and support for location, calendar and auto-tracking. Users can also add cricket scores as a card in their Shelf to access live scores and updates. The latest update also offers a new feature that will support reminders for privacy alerts.
The latest OxygenOS 10.3.1 update is being rolled out in a phased manner to a limited number of users initially. A wider rollout is expected in a few days if no bugs are spotted. Users can check for the latest update on their smartphones by heading to Settings app > System > System updates.
