[Update: April 17th]: As per a tweet by OnLeaks, OnePlus will hold its launch event on May 14th, where the company will announce three devices, the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. He also specified that the OnePlus 7 will feature a 6.4-inch flat display (he later clarified that it’s 6.2-inches if measured from rounded corner to corner), waterdrop notch selfie camera and dual rear cameras with a 48MP primary sensor. The OnePlus 7 Pro on the other hand will sport a 6.64-inch curved display, pop-up selfie camera and triple rear cameras with a 48MP primary sensor. The other two cameras will be telephoto and ultra-wide angle units, respectively. We’ve also received four new 5K renders of the OnePlus 7, which are embedded below.
OnePlus is inching closer to its first launch of the year as we approach the month of May. To jog your memory, the company launched the OnePlus 6 last year on May 16th. This time around, the company could launch two smartphones – the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Last month, Pricebaba brought to you exclusive renders of the OnePlus 7, but as it turns out, the renders might actually be of the ‘Pro’ variant. Pricebaba has now collaborated with the noted tipster @OnLeaks to bring you exclusive 5K renders and a 360-degree video of the standard OnePlus 7 variant.

OnePlus 7 renders
As you can see from the 5k renders below, unlike the Pro variant which is likely to sport a pop-up selfie camera, the OnePlus 7 will look a lot like the OnePlus 6T. However, there is one minor change in the design. The LED flash which sits outside the oblong camera module in last year’s model is now nestled inside. The camera setup seems to protrude more than it did on the OnePlus 6T, and according to OnLeaks, the upcoming smartphone measures 9.5mm in thickness with the bump included. As for other dimensions, the OnePlus 7 measures 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.1mm.
As can be seen in the images, the OnePlus 7 will flaunt a waterdrop notch like its predecessor. According to the tipster, the panel on the upcoming smartphone will measure 6.2-inches on the diagonal. Notably, this is slightly smaller than 6.41-inch panel on the OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 7 Pro
The ports and button placement on the OnePlus 7 remain unchanged. So you will find the alert slider with the power button on the right, and an ejectable SIM card tray with the volume rocker on the left. The bottom edge is home to the USB Type-C port flanked by the loudspeaker grill. The top edge is bare except for the secondary microphone.
The in-display fingerprint sensor isn’t visible in the renders, but is expected to be present. It seems that while the company is going big with the OnePlus 7 Pro, it’s keeping things low-key with the standard edition.
OnePlus 7 rumoured specifications
The OnePlus 7 has been one of the hottest topics lately with leaks and renders pouring in left, right and centre. According to previous leaks, the smartphone will come flaunting a full HD+ display featuring an AMOLED / Super Optic panel. The screen will also be home to the latest generation optical in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering the performance of the handset will be the flagship SoC from Qualcomm – the 7nm Snapdragon 855. We can expect the base variant of the OnePlus 7 to come with 6 gigs of RAM, and leaks have revealed that the top-end model this time will have 10GB of RAM. This is the same as the McLaren Edition OnePlus 6T, which was a limited-edition offering.
On the software front, the smartphone will boot the latest Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie. Word on the street is that the OnePlus 7 will also come wielding a hefty 4,150mAh battery with support for the proprietary Warp Charging technology from the brand.
OnePlus 7 price and availability
A recent leak has revealed that the company will launch both smartphones globally on May 14th. If this is true, we can expect the India launch a day later, on May 15th. Going by OnePlus’ track record, the flagship will be made available on Amazon India soon after.
While OnePlus is known for offering affordable flagships, lately the phones from the company have been getting progressively more expensive. This year, rumours suggest that the pricing of the base variant of the smartphone will start from Rs 39,990. With the launch expected to be just a month away, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
