In India, the launch will take place in at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru at 8.15pm on the aforementioned date. OnePlus is also selling entry tickets for the event priced at Rs 999, which will go on sale starting April 25th at 10am on oneplus.in. Attendees will be able to get hands-on time with the new flagships, meet OnePlus staff and community members and get exclusive merchandise as well. OnePlus estimates around 8,000 people will attend its launch events globally.

OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro: specifications and features

This year, OnePlus is expected to launch not one, but two flagships at its launch event – the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Pricebaba, in partnership with OnLeaks, released exclusive renders of both smartphones, revealing key features about their specifications and design. While the OnePlus 7 is expected to retain the key design aesthetic of the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7 Pro will pack in a pop-up selfie camera and triple rear cameras.

As for the specifications, both devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset. While the OnePlus 7 is likely to sport a 6.2-inch display with full HD+ resolution, the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature a larger 6.7-inch curved display with quad HD+ resolution. The OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to sport a 48MP primary camera, accompanied by a 16MP wide-angle lens and 8MP telephoto lens. The OnePlus 7 on the other hand will get a 48MP primary and 5MP depth sensor. Both phones are expected to feature 16MP selfie cameras.

In terms of the battery, the OnePlus 7 Pro might sport a 4,000mAh cell with 30W Warp Charging support, while the OnePlus 7 could be fitted with a smaller 3,700mAh unit with 20W Dash Charging. While the Pro model could get up to 12GB of RAM, the OnePlus 7 could get up to 8GB of memory. Both devices are expected to be fitted with in-display fingerprints sensors like the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is also expected to come in a 5G variant, but this is unlikely to launch in India, given that we don’t have commercial 5G networks in place yet. While the pricing of the phones isn’t known as yet, it’s safe to assume that the starting price for the base model will be at least Rs 37,999, going by the 6T’s pricing. We’ll have more details for you in the coming weeks.
