OnePlus 7T with Snapdragon 855+ and 48MP triple rear cameras launched, prices start at Rs 37,999

OnePlus has introduced its latest flagship smartphone called the OnePlus 7T at an event in New Delhi today. While the phone shares a lot of its specifications with the OnePlus 7 Pro flagship, it has a brand new design for the back panel that we’ve never seen on a OnePlus device. The OnePlus 7T flaunts Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 855+. Compared to the 7 Pro, the new device has a slightly better camera setup, although the battery capacity is smaller. Notably, the OnePlus 7T has arrived as one of the first smartphones to boot Android 10 out of the box.

OnePlus 7T specifications and features

Talking about the design first, the OnePlus 7T has a metal frame and the signature OnePlus matte-frosted glass at the back. You will be able to get the phone in two attractive hues – Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue. While the OnePlus 7 Pro has a vertical primary camera setup, the OnePlus 7T features a circular camera module, which houses three shooters and the LED flash unit. Just like the OnePlus 7, the 7T is also equipped with a waterdrop notch.

Moving to the specs, the OnePlus 7T sports a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, a layer of 3D Corning Gorilla Glass, and an under-screen fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 855+ chipset under the hood of the phone is fabricated utilising the 7nm process and has a clock speed of up to 2.96GHz. The SoC is paired with the Adreno 640 graphics and 8GB of RAM. As far as variants go, the handset comes in two models – 128GB and 256GB. For software, the smartphone comes with OxygenOS v10 that’s based on Android 10.

As for the camera specs, the OnePlus 7T has a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera at the rear with an aperture of f/1.6, OIS, and EIS. The secondary 12MP camera is a telephoto lens that sports an aperture of f/2.2. The third 16MP camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens bearing f/2.2 aperture and field of view of 117-degree. The phone is capable of recording 4K, 1080p, super slow motion, and Time-Lapse videos. On the front, you have a 16MP Sony IMX471 camera that offers EIS, f/2.0 aperture, and full HD video recording.

The OnePlus 7T’s connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 support with aptX and AptX HD, NFC, USB Type-C port, NFC, and dual-band GPS. The smartphone has dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. Lastly, a 3,800mAh battery with the next-gen Warp Charge 30T fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.

OnePlus 7T price in India

Talking about the pricing, the OnePlus 7T’s 128GB storage variant has been priced at Rs 37,999, while the 256GB model will set you back by Rs 39,999. The phone will be available in the country starting from September 28th via Amazon India, OnePlus website, and OnePlus experience stores across the country.
