OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition teased ahead of tomorrow’s launch

OnePlus is all set to introduce its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 7T Pro at an event in London tomorrow. Ahead of the unveiling, OnePlus has announced that apart from the regular model, it will also be introducing a special edition of the smartphone in collaboration with McLaren. Notably, the company partnered with McLaren last year as well to launch the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Just like the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, the same variant of the OnePlus 7T Pro is also expected to be available in a limited quantity.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition’s retail box will have carbon fibre back and yellow accents on the sides

The McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to feature specs that will be largely the same as the regular variant. However, it’s safe to assume that the McLaren edition could pack higher RAM and storage, just like the last year’s OnePlus 6T McLaren edition. The difference will mostly be in the design department. An image of the retail box of the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition shared by Pete Lau suggests that the handset will have a carbon fiber pattern on the back and orange lining on the sides. We will find out more at the event tomorrow.

“We’ve long been inspired by the McLaren brand spirit as an established company that continues to innovate,” said Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus. “The public reaction to the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition was incredible, users enjoyed seeing us working together to push boundaries, and we are thrilled to continue working together”, he added further.

The OnePlus 7T Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855+. The phone can arrive with up to 512GB of native storage and up to 12GB of RAM. The handset is expected to come with a 6.67-inch display with 2K+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Other rumoured features include a triple primary camera module at the back, a pop-up selfie camera, 4,080mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T, and latest OxygenOS version based on Android 10.
