Recently, we reported that at least six employees at OPPO‘s Greater Noida-based factory tested positive for COVID-19, causing a halt in operations. This is the same factory used by OnePlus to assemble its smartphones. At the time, OnePlus issued a statement saying that the closure at the OPPO plant would not affect the availability of its upcoming OnePlus 8 series phones, which are scheduled to go on sale starting May 29th.

The blog post mentions that while the production was temporarily halted, it’s now back up and running, and the new sale date of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will be announced soon.
